MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) Training Course
A Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) is a type of equipment used to provide temporary access to high places. MEWPs are commonly used in construction, maintenance, and industrial operations. This training course provides essential skills and knowledge for the safe operation of MEWPs, ensuring that operators understand how to work safely at height, comply with relevant regulations, and minimize the risks associated with operating this type of equipment. The course covers both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for operating different types of MEWPs, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and vertical lifts. Trainees will also learn about emergency procedures, inspections, and maintenance of the equipment.
Understand MEWP Safety Requirements: Ensure operators are aware of the hazards associated with working at height and how to mitigate risks.
Proper Operation of MEWPs: Equip trainees with the skills necessary to safely operate different types of MEWPs, including setup, maneuvering, and troubleshooting.
Compliance with Regulations: Familiarize participants with national and international safety standards, regulations, and guidelines governing
MEWP operations (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, and ISO).
Inspection and Maintenance: Teach proper inspection and maintenance procedures to ensure the equipment is in good working order.
Emergency Procedures: Equip trainees with the knowledge to respond effectively in case of equipment malfunction or emergency situations.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Enable operators to assess risks and identify hazards before, during, and after MEWP operations.
